I have to admit I've never used a web hosting service before and I'm a bit of a newbie. I did run a couple blogs on blogger but I decided to take the next step and build a site of my own. Personally I didn't like the site building tool that much and ended up using Wordpress. If you want to create a simple site I think this is the better platform to use, but your experience may vary. Try them out, they've been pretty decent for me so far.

I signed up for this host because they were the cheapest ones that offer 15 dedicated IPs through their unlimited pro plan which was only $7.95. As you may know if you go with typical SEO hosts tehy charge about $20 - $30 for 5 IPs, so any way you slice it this was a great deal. I've used about 7 of the dedicated IPs so far. Most of my sites are Wordpress blogs, which run fine on IX webhosting.

On the whole, IX webhosting is decent but I've noticed some of my sites loading slowly on a couple occasions. This may have been just due to a server problem at that time. It hasn't been an issue recently and I've only used them for a few months but so far I'm pretty satisfied overall.

I debated between Hostgator and Inmotion and ended up choosing these guys. They are pretty good so far and I've had no real issues.

The one thing that bugs me is that for the launch plan, you only get to put up 2 websites. I've seen comparably priced plans that allow you to create unlimited sites. But I don't know if those other hosts are any good. Maybe Inmotion needs to put stricter limits to preserve resources and make sure the servers don't get overloaded.

In any case, I'm not planning to switch or anything because of this, because so far Inmotion has been a good host for me.

I have only been using Hostgator for a couple weeks but so far I could not be happier. The websites I've put up so far load fast and the control panel is super easy to use. I had one occasion where I had to contact tech support, and got someone on the phone immediately. Moreover, it was a native English speaker and I got the help I wanted in a timely manner.
